July 2026

• July 9, 2026: Published SearchStax Release Notes (July 9, 2026) and updated related Site Search articles for Data Filters, Spell Check, Smart Answers, Ranking, and Smart Match Assist.
• July 8, 2026: Updated Understanding Search Request Consumption to clarify how /autocomplete and /emsuggest endpoint requests count toward search request usage.
• July 7, 2026: Updated Import Hosted Search Experience Into Drupal to repair incomplete Drupal controller and theme hook code examples.
• July 2, 2026: Updated Document Extraction API to recommend confirming that Drupal sites use the latest available version of the Drupal Search API Attachments module.
• July 2, 2026: Updated Tracking API (JavaScript) and Tracking API (REST) to clarify that search tracking payloads should include totalHits from the Search API response.numFound value so result clicks can be attributed to the search term.

June 2026

• June 25, 2026: Published Site Search - Release Notes (June 25, 2026), and Smart Answers Analytics. Updated related Site Search articles to document crawler Start URL validation and HTTP Headers, Smart Answers Analytics references, and field-type and faceting guidance.
• June 23, 2026: Updated Drupal Auto-Suggest to clarify that SearchStax Auto-Suggest doesn't count as a search request, while other autocomplete implementations may count as search requests if they send search queries to SearchStax.
• June 23, 2026: Updated Tracking API (JavaScript) and Tracking API (REST) to document Smart Answers tracking for the Show More option, including the hasShowMore property and the _answershowmoreclick event.
• June 22, 2026: Archived Why SearchStax Changes Aren't Affecting the Drupal View Search Experience and redirected it to When to Ignore Drupal Settings for SearchStax Site Search. The replacement article now provides the clearer guidance path for Drupal Views users, and the archived article path is preserved through a redirect and temporary Site Search promotion.
• June 19, 2026: Updated Create and Manage Custom Languages in Site Search to separate the Drupal schema JSON example from the example pattern used for other platforms, clarify platform-specific file-path conventions, and present the examples in tabs for easier comparison.
• June 19, 2026: Published Test Smart Answers to help customers build a Smart Answers test set, evaluate answer quality and citations, tune related settings, and retest after changes.
• June 18, 2026: Updated Why You Should Move from Drupal Views to UI Kits and Site Search Onboarding Options for Drupal to clarify UI Kit migration benefits, Drupal Views feature availability, and the Drupal module configuration needed for specific Site Search features.
• June 18, 2026: Updated Tuning Smart Answers to clarify which Smart Answers controls affect presentation, answer behavior, and source-content exclusions, and to link custom search UI users to the Smart Answers UX Widget setup article.
• June 16, 2026: Published Add the Smart Answers UX Widget to a Custom Search UI to help developers add Smart Answers to a custom search implementation while continuing to use their existing search UI, search APIs, and result rendering.
• June 12, 2026: Published Prepare to Tune Search Relevance, Troubleshoot Ranking and Broad Query Results, and How SearchStax Calculates Relevance Scores. Also updated Improve Result Order with Search Fields and Ranking to clarify how Search Fields, Ranking, Rules, Promotions, Sorting, and relevance scoring affect result order.
• June 11, 2026: Published Site Search - Release Notes (June 11, 2026) and updated related articles for Search Fields, Results Fields, Smart Answers, Tuning Smart Answers, and Hosted Search Experience to document field-type filtering, Smart Answers support for custom languages, and Hosted Search clear-query behavior.
• June 5, 2026: Published four Administration API reference articles: Authenticate to the SearchStax API, Manage Site Search Apps, Manage Users, and Retrieve Site Search Usage and Limits. These articles explain how to authenticate, create and check Site Search apps, manage users, and check usage and limits.
• June 4, 2026: Updated Clear a Site Search Index to use *:* in the clear-index delete-by-query examples.
• June 4, 2026: Updated Ingesting Data with a CMS/DXP Connector to caution Drupal users to use a separate SearchStax App for each Drupal environment and link to Troubleshoot Missing Drupal App Data for help investigating missing App data.
• June 4, 2026: Updated Why SearchStax Changes Aren't Affecting the Drupal View Search Experience and When to Ignore Drupal Settings for SearchStax Site Search to clarify that Promotions in Drupal Views require both Re-route searches via Site Search configurations and Parse mode and searched fields.

• May 20, 2026: Added Troubleshoot Missing Drupal App Data to help customers identify why Drupal-connected App data can go missing, check environment-specific connection settings, and prevent non-production Drupal environments from affecting production Apps.
• May 20, 2026: Added Why Some Site Search Queries Only Match Exact Values to explain why some queries only return exact-match results. The article covers fields stored as String values and Drupal Apps that use WhitespaceTokenizer instead of StandardTokenizer.
• May 18, 2026: Updated Sitecore Module 3.0.2 to clarify that token authentication is the default configuration path for current Site Search apps and to point Basic Authentication users to the dedicated Basic Authentication setup section.
• May 15, 2026: Updated Solr Versions Supported by SearchStax Managed Search and Can I make a "major" Solr upgrade? to align Managed Search Solr version and upgrade guidance with the current lifecycle policy, including supported self-service Solr versions, maintenance and Extended Life Support expectations, and planning considerations for major-version upgrades.
• May 15, 2026: Updated Service Limits to consolidate Site Search request, payload, URL, Sandbox App, token, key, and feature-specific limits in one article. Also redirected Usage and Limits Overview to Service Limits and updated related API foundation and limits articles so shared limits links point to the remaining limits reference.
• May 14, 2026: Published Site Search - Release Notes (May 14, 2026) with details about the default Drupal 10 and Drupal 11 search configuration update for new Search Apps that use Solr 8 or Solr 9, including the change from solr.WhitespaceTokenizerFactory to solr.StandardTokenizerFactory where applicable.
• May 14, 2026: Published Crawler IP Allowlisting, Crawl Depth, Troubleshoot Crawler Failures, Repeated Hits, and Host Slowdown, and Why Crawled Content Can Stay After Inclusion or Exclusion Rule Changes. Also updated Crawler, Crawler Exclusions, Crawler Walkthrough, Clear a Site Search Index, See Newly Indexed Documents, and Crawler Indexed More Pages Than It Crawled to add crawler IP allowlisting, crawl-depth behavior, crawler troubleshooting, stale-content cleanup, and indexing follow-through guidance.
• May 11, 2026: Updated Lightweight Search Widget to clean up the full HTML example and make the sample easier to reuse when adding the legacy widget to a search page.

April 2026

• April 30, 2026: Published Site Search - Release Notes (April 30, 2026) and updated Crawler and Copy a Search App for crawler settings shortcuts, crawler inclusion and exclusion search, and clearer Copy App schema mismatch guidance. Also published When to Ignore Drupal Settings for SearchStax Site Search and updated Ingesting Data with a CMS/DXP Connector for the latest SearchStax Drupal Module settings guidance. Finally, updated Smart Answers to clarify how requests against service limits are counted when queries are classified as questions.
• April 28, 2026: Updated Smart Answers API to document the optional model query parameter in the request parameter table, so API users can identify how to send a specific Search Profile name with Smart Answers requests.
• April 27, 2026: Published Troubleshoot Hit Highlighting Conflicts During Drupal Migration and Why Am I Seeing Max Request Size Exceeded Errors During Drupal Indexing. These articles cover SearchStax-managed versus Drupal-managed highlighting, Drupal settings for highlighted snippets, and indexing failures caused by timeout or batch-size issues.
• April 23, 2026: Updated Search API to clarify how to interpret 429 responses by distinguishing short-term request-rate limits from plan-limit conditions using the response body's message value, and to document the shared 429 response headers and lack of a Retry-After header.
• April 21, 2026: Updated Choose Field Types for Site Search Features to replace the old feature-by-feature table with a simplified comparison table, clarify when to use separate fields for search and exact-value behavior, and tighten the guidance for Search Fields, Results Fields, Faceting, Sorting, Ranking, Rules, Spell Check, and Location.
• April 20, 2026: Updated Search API, Smart Answers API, Related Searches API, Auto-Suggest API, Popular Searches API, Tracking API (REST), Reporting API (REST), Tracking API (Javascript), Languages, and Using Languages Not Yet Available in Site Search to clarify that dash and underscore variants in language codes are normalized automatically. For example, customers don't need to treat en-US and en_US as different language codes.
• April 17, 2026: Updated Crawler, Creating Your First Search App, Understanding Search Request Consumption, Subscriptions, Copy a Search App, and Service Limits to clarify crawler scheduling and cleanup behavior, app-creation limits, usage accounting, Copy App Auto-Suggest setup, and the App Creation API limit.
• April 16, 2026: Published Site Search - Release Notes (April 16, 2026) with updates for crawler reuse across apps, crawler cleanup controls, Copy App support for Auto-Suggest, plan-change indexing-delay updates, and confirmation that app creation is limited to 10 apps per hour per account.
• April 14, 2026: Updated Searches to add a clearer explanation of why similar queries can appear separately in analytics reports, including how case variants are recorded and interpreted in Most Popular Searches and No Results Searches.
• April 10, 2026: Published Understanding Empty Searches in Site Search Analytics and Choose Field Types for Site Search Features. Also updated Searches, Analytics Glossary, and Field Types to clarify empty-search reporting and query case in analytics, align glossary wording, and point readers to the new feature-based field-selection guidance.
• April 2, 2026: Published the April 2, 2026 Site Search release notes, refreshed related articles for Smart Answers, Crawler, Auto-Suggest, and Promotions, and added new guidance on setting up image URL fields for thumbnails in Site Search so teams can use full image URLs, map the right field, and reindex for reliable thumbnail rendering.
• April 1, 2026: Updated Tracking API (REST) and Related Searches API to clarify event-type tracking guidance and document optional language and model parameters for scoped analytics and profile-level reporting.

March 2026

• March 23, 2026: Published the new Optimize Site Search (Marketers) category with marketer-focused onboarding guides and updated the Get Started with Site Search (Developers) category with improved developer guides.
• March 23, 2026: Updated Auto-Suggest, Auto-Suggest Troubleshooting, and Auto-Suggest API to explain how suggestion weighting affects result order, including the default weight applied to manually managed dictionary entries and how mixed data-driven and dictionary suggestions are ranked.
• March 19, 2026: Published Site Search Release Notes (March 19, 2026). Also updated Promotions, Promotions: Indexed vs. External, and Troubleshooting Promotions for the indexed-promotion missing-item warning and related troubleshooting guidance; JavaScript - Hooks and Developing a Search UI with UI Kits for UI Kits afterSearch response guidance; Viewing Activity Logs for Subcategory column details; Smart Answers and Tuning Smart Answers for Ranking influence on answer generation; and Crawler and Crawler Field Map for crawler field-management updates.

• March 10, 2026: Updated Copy a Search App to explain schema compatibility in plain language, clarify what mismatches can block Copy App, and add troubleshooting guidance for reloading schema, checking for missing fields, and contacting Support when the issue can't be confirmed in the Dashboard.
• March 5, 2026: Published Site Search - Release Notes (March 5, 2026) and Production and Sandbox Apps. Also updated Crawler, Viewing Activity Logs, Previewing Your First Search in SearchStax, Smart Answers, and Languages for crawler app associations, activity log details, Smart Answers in Search Preview, and related language setup guidance.

February 2026

• February 27, 2026: Updated Troubleshooting Promotions to add troubleshooting checks for Search Fields coverage and Data Filters that can exclude promoted results.
• February 26, 2026: Updated Document Extraction API to clarify Drupal-only and plan-availability guidance, including support contact guidance for access questions.
• February 23, 2026: Updated Understanding Search Request Consumption to replace Billing & Payments references with Subscription to match the current dashboard label.
• February 19, 2026: Published Site Search - Release Notes (February 19, 2026).
• February 17, 2026: Clarified WCAG compliance language in Accessibility (WCAG) to state that only the Search Component is independently tested and WCAG 2.2 Level AA compliant, while other components are WCAG 2.2 AA Ready and require implementation-specific validation.
• February 17, 2026: Updated Smart Answers response-time wording in Smart Answers, Smart Answers API, and Tuning Smart Answers to state: "Streaming begins within two seconds after the query is sent."
• February 12, 2026: Updated 429, 401, and Other API Errors to clarify that 429 responses don't include a Retry-After header, can be generic, and should be handled differently when they are occasional versus persistent.
• February 11, 2026: Clarified default new-App access behavior in Access Management and App-Level Permissions, including the case where no Account Owner is set.
• February 11, 2026: Updated Drupal Module guidance to remove a stale hardcoded release reference and added a version-verification note in Use and Invoke Different Search Profiles With Drupal Views before enabling profile-based configuration.
