Use the SearchStax Zendesk Connector to sync public Zendesk Knowledge articles with an existing Site Search app. The connector works with the languages you select and manages its own search documents without crawling rendered Help Center pages.
What the Connector Does
The connector reads public articles that an anonymous visitor can access in each selected language. It sends their content and metadata to Site Search, then reads the saved documents back to verify them.
Later syncs update changed articles and remove connector-managed documents for articles that are no longer public. The connector leaves documents from other ingestion sources unchanged.
It doesn't index drafts, restricted articles, tickets, community posts, or other content that isn't publicly accessible. The connector runs in a customer-managed environment and keeps local state to track the documents it manages.
A sync stops for review if a selected language has no public articles or if it would remove more than 20% of the documents managed by that installation. While a sync is blocked, previously indexed articles can remain searchable. This can include articles that have become private. Contact SearchStax if content needs urgent removal.
When to Use This Connector
Choose the Zendesk Connector when your public help articles are in Zendesk Knowledge and you want to synchronize selected languages with Site Search. Choose the Crawler when indexing public rendered Help Center pages is sufficient. Use the Ingest API when you need custom ingestion logic, content outside the connector's supported scope, or direct control over documents.
