Adobe Experience Manager App Support
You can now select Adobe Experience Manager as the platform when you create a Site Search app. Choose the AEM version that matches your environment:
- AEM as a Cloud Service
- Adobe Managed Services
- AEM 6.5 On-Premise
AEM apps include an AEM Connector option in the left navigation with instructions for connecting your AEM site to Site Search.
Restricted Terms
Restricted Terms is now available in Site Search. Use it to manage terms that should be excluded from analytics-driven search experiences, including Auto-Suggest, Popular Searches, Related Searches, and Smart Match Assist.
For example, teams can exclude competitor names or sensitive phrases so suggestions and related searches stay focused on useful customer queries.
Add terms manually or upload a newline-delimited text file, then search, filter, bulk-select, or delete terms as needed. Available features and access depend on your account plan and account role.

JSON-LD Path Extraction for Crawler Fields
When you create or edit a crawler field, you can now select JSON-LD Path as the extraction method. Enter a JSONPath-style reference to the structured data property you want to use, such as $.headline, $.author.name, or $.datePublished.
After you save the crawler field, the next crawl can use the configured path to populate the field from matching JSON-LD data.
Field Type Filtering and Search
Field selectors now make it easier to find available fields when you configure the following Site Search features:
Use the Field Type filter to narrow the available fields, then search by field name within the filtered results. The available field types depend on the fields indexed in your app.
Default English Stopwords for New Apps
New Site Search apps created with English selected as the language now include a default English Stopwords dictionary. You can review and edit the list after creating the app. Existing apps and apps created with another language are unchanged.
Ranking Navigation
Ranking is now under Advanced Configurations instead of Basic Configurations. The menu order is Data Filters, Location, Ranking, Rules, and Sorting.
Crawler History
The Crawler Walkthrough shows the Crawler History table without the URLs Crawled column.
Fixed
Autocomplete Usage Tracking
Fixed an issue that could prevent /autocomplete requests from being included in usage tracking. Requests now appear in the combined Requests metric where autocomplete tracking is enabled.
