Smart Answers Question Detection for Non-English Queries
Smart Answers now includes improved question detection for non-English queries.
Smart Answers can recognize queries that use a full-width question mark, which is common in some East Asian language contexts. For example, Japanese or Chinese queries that end with a full-width question mark can be treated as questions when Smart Answers determines whether to generate an answer.
For non-English apps with Smart Answers enabled, SearchStax can also use AI-based question detection to classify whether a query is a question before trying to generate an answer. If the query is not classified as a question, Smart Answers doesn't attempt to generate an answer.
Question detection results are cached for 24 hours.
Field Type Filtering for Ranking, Spell Check, and Data Filters
Field Type filtering is now available in additional Site Search configuration workflows: Ranking, Spell Check, and Data Filters.
Use the Field Type dropdown to narrow long field lists before selecting or searching for a field. This makes it easier to find the right field in apps with many indexed fields.
For Ranking, Field Type filtering is available when selecting a Search Field or Field Value. For Spell Check, the field type defaults to the recommended Spellcheck field type. For Data Filters, it helps narrow the fields available when configuring filter rules.
Smart Match Assist Email Reminders
Smart Match Assist can now remind eligible users when new recommendations are available to review. These reminders help teams return to Smart Match Assist after recommendations are generated each month and act on recommendations that could improve search relevance.
SearchStax sends the reminder when Smart Match Assist is enabled for the account and at least one accessible app has recommendations available for review. The email can include multiple apps, with production apps listed first.
Reminder recipients are limited to eligible Owner, Administrator, and Marketer users. Owners can see all apps in the account that have recommendations. Administrators and Marketers see only apps they can access.
The email call to action opens the Smart Match Assist recommendations page for the first app listed in the email.

Solr 10 Support for Dedicated Deployments
SearchStax Managed Search dedicated deployments now support Solr 10.0.0. This gives teams a Solr 10 deployment option for dedicated environments while preserving support for existing Solr 9 deployment behavior.
Solr 10 support includes startup and configuration handling for single-node and cluster deployments. In clusters, nodes use the expected private IP address and host settings.
