Setting Up Two-Factor Authentication
All SearchStax Site Search solution users can enable Two-Factor Authentication (TFA). In the upper-right corner of Site Search, open the Accounts menu and select My Profile.
Scroll down to the lower part of the My Profile screen. You'll see the Two-Factor Authentication option there.
The setup procedure is simple. Click the Set Up Authentication App button to generate the QR code. A screen like this will appear:
Install the Authenticator app on your phone or tablet and use it to scan the QR code. Once you verify the link to SearchStax, the phone app begins to display six-digit numbers. This happens almost instantly.
When you log into SearchStax, enter your email address and strong password as usual. SearchStax will open a field for your six-digit code. This code changes once each minute, making it a very secure way to authenticate.
Backup Codes
Site Search displays a screen of one-time Backup Verification Codes that you can use if you lose your phone. We recommend storing these codes in a safe place.
You can disable Two-Factor Authentication from this same Profile screen if you need to.
